A primordium is the simplest set of cells capable of triggering growth of the would-be organ and the initial foundation from which an organ is able to grow. In flowering plants, a floral primordium gives rise to a flower.

Primordium is loosely inspired by the Fibonacci Sequence, a mathematical sequence found on different elements of nature, particularly in the arrangement of leaves, branches, flowers or seeds in plants. If you take a close look at the center of a sunflower or daisy, you’ll find it.
