Visual Whispers
Visual Whispers, my first solo exhibition was presented from June - August 2022 at the Coral Springs Museum of Art in Florida. The show presents site specific installations and a series of assemblages that explore the notions of dimensional space and perception. The work navigates the complexities of light and form as artistic medium, physical reality, and aesthetic concept.
Influenced by nature and architectural structures, the work features geometric and organic compositions that create volume, texture, and movement. Furthermore, abstraction through form, light, and shadow allows her to respond to and engage with contemporary culture’s onslaught of visual imagery.
Stripped from color and representational imagery, Visual Whispers gives the viewer the opportunity to engage with the work with heightened focus and a higher awareness of their presence in the space.
While creating the body of work presented here, photographer and videographer Anthony Nguyen, came by the studio to document some of the work in progress. Here is the video that is also being showcased at the show, sharing a bit of my creative process.
